Laika was walking at a brisk pace, keeping up with the trongs of people he had hoped to be caught in. Crowds were safety in moments like this. He could hide away in them with his hood and beanie on.
He was empty handed, two blocks away from the grocery Searchman had found. The list had been gone over several times already, yet Laika found himself repeating it again. It was a mantra to keep him steady. Rice, eggs, chicken, panko, oil, spices-
The bump forced him to loose it. His hand flew up to catch where his arm was touched. Perhaps too much of a movement, he thought as it slid down. Was Enzan's borrowed paranoia too obvious? Laika kept double and triple checking himself, but in doing so failed to catch a glimpse of who he bumped into.
Laika muttered an apology, then continued on his way. It was about five steps later that a sudden dizziness hit him. He swayed admist the crowd, trying to walk out of it. But it persisted, and even got worse.
